Skills

What are skills?

There are currently 8 skills in Pyro Fishing and these can be split in to two types "upgradeable" & "one time purchase". Skills can be purchase or upgraded using skill points. To access the skill menu you can either use the command /fish skills or open /fish menu and select the Skill option.

Earning Skill points

Earning skill points is easy all you need to do is fish. Every time your fishing level in Pyro Fishing increase you earn one Skill Point.

Upgradeable Skills

There are four upgradeable skills in total:

• Better Gutting - This skill gives you more entropy from gutting fish.
  
• Luck of the Catch - This skill gives you more entropy from catching fish.
  
• Master Augmenter - This skill reduced the cost to craft fishing augments.
  
• Totem Leader - This skill reduces your totem cooldown when catching a fish.
  

Upgreadable skills cost 1 skill point to upgrade 1 level. As the skills are upgraded their effects are increased.

When you start upgrading these skills you will most likely want to upgrade them all evenly and then eventually respec them into specific skills as you progress through the plugin.

One time purchase skills

There are four one time purchase skills in total:

• Divine Judgement - This skill gives you a chance to summon a divine strike that causes a Tsunami. Fishing inside of the blue particle rings that the Tsunami causes gives you a % chance to double whatever fish you catch inside of it.
• Tribal Shout - This skill gives players inside of your fishing totem a percentage of the total effects.
• Combo Catcher - This skill increases a combo that increases your chance to catch rarer fish. Higher the skill level the higher the combo can become.
• Augment Infusion - This skill has a chance to refund some of the items used in augment crafting.
  

These skills act as 'passive' effects rather then a skill. These cost 15 Skill points to purchase. After you have purchased it, that skill is forever active for you.

However, these skills scale with your Fishing Level. This means that the higher Fishing Level you are - the better these skills will preform.

To maximise the benefits of the skills it is recommended you spend you skill points on these first and concentrate on levelling up your fishing level.
