Fishing Tournament

What are fishing tournaments


Fishing tournaments are selected at random from one of the bellow types. A tournament runs for 15 minutes and they generally happen every 4 hours at set times. Competing in and winning tournaments can give you a number of rewards to help you progress in the plugin. All you need to do to participate in tournaments is fish when one is announced in game.

Tourname Commands


  • /ft time - Displays in chat the time until the next tournament is due to start. If a tournament is running it will tell you how long the current tournament has left to run.


  • /ft info - Used when a tournament is running. This command will display the tournament information like type, time left & top 3 competitors for this tournament.


Tournament Types


  • Logest Length - Luck based tournament, every fish caught is given a randomly generated length. The player to catch the single longest fish wins.
  • Shortest Length - Another luch based tournament similar to longest length but the player with the shortes fish wins. The shortest possible fish that can be caught is 0.01cm.
  • Crab Killing - Fish to catch and kill crabs. The player with the most crabs killed wins the tournament.
  • Random Catch - At the start of the tournament the plugin will select a random fish from a predefined list. Players win based on who catches the most of the specified fish during the torunament time.
  • Most Fish - This is simple, the player to catch the most fish wins.
  • Base Entropy - Similar to Most Fish this tournament requires players to catch as many fish as they can to earn the most entropy to win.
  • Most Biome - In this tournament you will need to explore and find as many biomes as possible to fish in. The player who fishes in the most biomes wins.
  • Total Length - Another largely luck based tournament only in this one the random length assigned to each fish caught is added together. The player with the largest combined length of all fish wins the torunament.


Tournament Times


Fishing tournaments are sheduled for the following times on PigSMP. These times are (Server Time) or UTC time.

  • 06:00
  • 10:00
  • 14:00
  • 18:00
  • 22:00


Tournament Rewards


All players receive 1,000 entropy for participating in a tournament regardless of place.

In addition to the Participation prize the following prizes are rewarded.

  1. 1st Place receives
    • $10,000 in game money.
    • 5,000 entropy.


  1. 2nd Place receives.
    • $6,500 in game money.
    • 2,500 entropy.


  1. 3rd Place receives.
    • $2,500 in game money.
    • 1,000 entropy.
